Notes are freeform annotations you can attach to documents, people, legal entities, timeline events, or the project itself. Use them to capture observations, flag issues, or record your thinking as you work through a case.

Creating Notes

You can create notes yourself from any document, person, entity, or timeline event page. You can also ask Claude to create notes on your behalf — for example, “add a note about the timeline inconsistency in this deposition.” Notes created by Claude are marked as AI so you can tell them apart from your own.

The Notes Page

Your project’s Notes page shows all notes in one place, with context about what each note is attached to. This gives you a single view of every observation and annotation across your case.

Editing and Deleting

You can edit or delete any note you created. Notes created by Claude can also be edited or deleted.
